24 songs will take part in the 2026 edition of Latvia's popular Supernova contest

Supernova is happening in early 2026, with three Saturday nights to mark in your calendars.

Two semi-finals will take place on 31 January and 7 February, and from those, ten songs will progress to the Valentine's Day final on 14 February. LSM has also announced that an 11th song will compete in the final, as a 'wildcard' entry.

At Basel 2025, Latvia earned its best result at the Eurovision Song Contest in a decade.

The ethereal ensemble Tautumeitas finished in 13th place at the Grand Final, after a dazzling performance of their folk anthem Bur Man Laimi.
