Social Media Policy
Our community is United By Music.
We’re proud to bring together millions of fans from across Europe and beyond to celebrate the Eurovision Song Contest on our digital platforms.
To keep our social media channels welcoming and positive, we ask everyone to follow a few simple guidelines when commenting on our posts, videos and content.
Celebrate Differences
- Not every song will be your favourite - and that’s perfectly fine! Focus on the performances you love and let others enjoy theirs too. Let’s celebrate what unites us, not what divides us.
Encourage Inclusion
- Our community is open to everyone. Whatever your background, identity or story, our digital platforms are a space where fans and artists can feel safe, valued, and part of one global family.
Champion Creativity
- Every creative effort, from homemade fan art to the Grand Final winning performance, represents hours of time, bags of talent, and an incredible passion for the Contest. Let’s lift up our creatives.
Engage Respectfully
- We love a lively discussion - just keep it respectful. Share your thoughts, champion your favourites, and remember that passion should never become personal.
Keep It Classy
- The Contest has fans of all ages and backgrounds. Please keep comments and interactions cute, classy and considerate of everyone who joins the conversation.
Community Monitoring
Our team works with a trusted moderation partner and our participating delegations to ensure the official Eurovision Song Contest and Junior Eurovision channels remain a positive and welcoming space all year round.
We encourage interaction, conversation, and friendly debate, but to keep the experience enjoyable for everyone, we occasionally hide or remove disruptive comments and reserve the right to block users who create a negative environment.
What We Remove:
Bullying, personal attacks and threats
- Including towards artists, delegations, staff, volunteers, and fans.
Discrimination and Insults
- Such as ableism, ageism, homophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia, xenophobia or any other form of discrimination.
Spam or unrelated promotion
- Such as self-promotion, off-topic comments and links, or multiple posts of the same repetitive comment.
Unauthorized or leaked content
- Do not share or sign-post towards leaked songs or videos, or material that artists and creators have not permitted to be shared.
We also ask for our community's help to credit original creators, respect copyright, and report leaked or unauthorized material.
Protecting creative work helps to support the artists and fans who work so hard to make this community special.
