Antigoni will represent Cyprus at Vienna 2026
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest has its very first participant! Antigoni will be singing for Cyprus in Vienna next May.
Cypriot broadcaster CyBc had some exciting news to announce on Thursday 6 November. Cyprus becomes the first country to reveal its artist for Vienna 2026!
The artist Antigoni will be flying the Cypriot flag at May's Contest. Her song will be revealed at a later date.
In August, Vienna was named as the Host City of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
The Grand Final of the 70th edition will be held on Saturday 16 May at the Wiener Stadthalle, Austria’s largest indoor arena, with Semi-Finals earlier the same week on Tuesday 12 May and Thursday 14 May.
At the 69th Contest in Basel, Cyprus was represented by Theo Evan and his song Shh, which picked up 44 points in the First Semi-Final for an 11th-place finish.
As our first artist of Vienna 2026, Antigoni also has the honour of premiering the 70th Eurovision Song Contest's introduction videos which we'll be releasing to our social media channels every time we have a new performer added to May's lineup.
The music you hear in these posts has been penned especially for us by Thomas Thurner, one of the writers behind Basel 2025's winning entry. Thomas has composed the music to be based on the song that is responsible for taking us to Austria in May, Wasted Love.
