Nova Zora wins the second edition of Montesong
Montesong returned for its second edition on Sunday 21 December, with broadcaster RTCG having lined up 15 songs to compete for the chance to represent Montenegro at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.
After a vote that incorporated scores from both the public and a selection of jury members, Tamara Živković earned a clear lead with her song Nova Zora.

The turbo-charged dance track triumphed in the jury vote, receiving their full 'douze points'. Ten more points from the public vote gave Nova Zora a final score of 22 points; and a four-point lead over the song that finished runner-up, Rhythm Boy by Lara Baltić.

About Tamara Živković
Montesong 2025 isn’t the first competition that Tamara Živković has excelled at!
From Glas Boke to Zvezde Granda and from Pinkove Zazbri to Naša Radost, the prizes have been gaining momentum almost as fast as Tamara's reputation as a rising talent.
The winner of Montesong 2025 can also lay claim to taking part in the inaugural edition of the competition in 2024, with her song Poguban Let.
Following on from that introduction to many new fans both nationally and abroad, Tamara released two more songs; Prošla Godina and Konačno Svoja.
Eager to learn even more of her craft, the singer is currently a third-year student of undergraduate academic studies at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade.
Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest
Montenegro debuted as an independent nation at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007; previously they had participated as part of Yugoslavia and also as one half of the union between Serbia and Montenegro.
The first time Montenegro qualified for the Grand Final was in 2014 when Sergej Ćetković took Moj Svijet (‘My World’) to 19th on the scoreboard.
Their most successful participation came the following year in Vienna when Knez finished in 13th place with the ballad Adio (‘Farewell’).
The previous edition of Montesong was won by Nina Žižić, who subsequently represented Montenegro on its Eurovision comeback at Basel 2025.
Nina treated viewers of the 69th Contest to a magical rendition of her theatrical, string-laden ballad Dobrodošli in the Second Semi-Final.
