Basel 2025: Last tickets for Arena plus go on sale
Mélanie Freymond and Sven Epiney will present the pre-show and live viewing at Arena plus
As the final tickets for the Arena plus event go on sale, more Eurovision icons are announced in the lineup of performers.
The city of Basel's large-scale live-viewing event just got larger!
Joining the evening's lineup of entertainment are Kate Ryan and Luca Hänni. They'll be performing for attendees at the Arena plus pre-party that will take place before the Grand Final screening on Saturday 17 May.
They join the previously-announced names: Croatia's Baby Lasagna, who took Eurovision audiences by storm in 2024 with Rim Tim Tagi Dim; Anna Rossinelli, Switzerland's Eurovision 2011 act and a successful singer-songwriter; and the internationally renowned Swiss DJ Antoine, who will be providing the beats and plenty of great atmosphere.
The latest in the lineup
Luca Hänni represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with She Got Me . The song's 4th-place finish is considered to have kick-started a terrific run of results for the country, which has included a qualification to the Grand Final on every occasion, a bronze-medal finish in 2021, and of course a Contest win in 2024, courtesy of The Code by Nemo.
Luca himself is delighted to be back in the Eurovision universe now that the Contest has come to his home country:
"I'm a big ESC fan and am of course especially looking forward to this year in Switzerland! Performing in a stadium is the greatest and I'm very excited about the extraordinary Cube stage. But above all, I'm looking forward to the whole atmosphere during ESC week, the fans on site and the great mood. It's all going to be amazing!"
Kate Ryan competed in the Eurovision Song Contest almost 20 years ago, for Belgium. At Athens 2006 she brought Je T'adore to the Contest; a song which has since become a firm fan favourite.
Since her time in Greece, she's gone on to have some of the biggest hits of her career, such as Voyage Voyage , Ella Elle L'a and I Surrender .

Getting to Arena plus
The Arena plus gates will open at 18:00 CET and from 19:00 Sven Epiney and Mélanie Freymond will be guiding attendees through the energetic warm-up show, where the audience can look forward to plenty of surprises and interaction.
Early admission is recommended. Due to security checks, access to the arena may take a little longer than usual. So if guests want to experience as much of the warm-up show as possible, they should plan enough time for journey and admission. Another important detail to be aware of is that bags of any size will not be allowed at the event – this also applies to small handbags.
The City of Basel strongly recommends travelling by public transport, as there are no parking spaces available on site. All tickets include free travel to and from St. Jakob-Park on the day of the event (17 May 2025) until 05:00 CET the following day (18 May 2025).
This offer is valid in second class throughout the entire North-West Switzerland Tariff Association (TNW), the Lörrach Regional Transport Association (RVL) and on the Distribus lines in the Basel area. Those travelling from further afield will benefit from a discount on a public transport ticket from a Swiss town worth CHF 20.
