  • Demand remains sky-high as world’s largest live music event proves its enduring appeal ahead of 70th Contest

Tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 have sold out in record time, underlining the Contest’s extraordinary popularity and continued power to bring audiences together as it celebrates its 70th edition.

The Grand Final in Vienna in May sold out 14 minutes after going on sale with all Semi-Final tickets gone in 20 minutes.

Fans also snapped up tickets for the two Preview Shows for each Semi-Final and the Grand Final.

All available tickets were sold out one hour after the sale began.

The rapid sell-out confirms the Contest’s position as one of the most sought-after live entertainment experiences in the world.

The Wiener Stadthalle, where the 70th Contest will be held, has the largest capacity of a Eurovision venue for several years.

Martin Green CBE, Director of the Eurovision Song Contest, said:

“The response has been phenomenal. To see every single show sell out so quickly is a powerful reminder of what the Eurovision Song Contest represents - joy, togetherness, and shared experience at a time when that feels more important than ever.

“For those who registered and didn’t manage to secure tickets for their preferred show, there will be more opportunities later in the spring. And for fans who want to experience the Eurovision Song Contest closer to home look out for an exciting announcement very soon.”

Host broadcaster ORF’s Executive Producer Michael Krön added:

"The overwhelming interest in all nine shows impressively confirms that the Eurovision Song Contest still brings people together even after seven decades. It’s wonderful to see and motivates us all the more to deliver a truly special show.

“I would like to thank our partner oeticket for the smooth handling, and we look forward to celebrating a festival of music and joy with fans from all over the world in May at the Wiener Stadthalle."

The Eurovision Song Contest remains one of the world’s biggest appointment-to-view TV experiences and as usual millions of fans from across the world will be able to watch 3 spectacular shows celebrating music, diversity, and live performance on public media channels across Europe and around the world on the official YouTube channel.

Fans in every country will be able to vote for their favourite songs.

35 public service broadcasters will send songs and artists to compete at the Wiener Stadthalle in two Semi-Finals and the Grand Final on 12, 14 and 16 May.

The draw to determine in which Semi-Final the 35 broadcasters will perform and vote in was held in Vienna’s Rathaus on Monday 12 January. More details on that here.
