The final of 'Festival da Canção' takes place on Saturday 8 March at 22:00 CET. In Portugal, the show airs on RTP1, but if you're outside of Portugal then you'll be able to live stream via the broadcaster's online player .

About Festival da Canção

An annual showcase of Portugal's rich music scene, Festival da Canção returned in February for its 2025 edition. 20 songs were selected to be included in the lineup this year, but after two semi-finals we're now down to our 12 finalists.

Saturday night's winner will be decided by both a public vote, contributing 50% of the scores, and a jury vote made up of 7 regional juries, and providing the remaining 50% of the points.

The winner of Festival da Canção will represent Portugal at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in May.

It'll be Vasco Palmeirim and Eurovision Song Contest 2018 host Filomena Cautela taking us through Festival da Canção 's exciting conclusion.

As well as the competing entries, viewers can also look forward to performances from last year's Festival da Canção 's winner iolanda, and a few of her competitors from the 2024 edition, João Borsch, Huca and Maria João.

RTP have also revealed that audiences can expect to see live music from popular acts Expresso Transatlântico, Ana Lua Caiano and The Legendary Tigerman.

The winner of Festival da Canção 2024 was the song Grito performed by iolanda. At the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, iolanda continued Portugal's current streak of qualifying for the Grand Final; for the 4th time in as many years.

Grito gave Portugal a Top 10 finish with 152 points. It is Portugal's 12th Top 10 finish since the country started competing at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1964.
