24-year-old musician Zoë Më will be singing for Switzerland, when the 69th Eurovision Song Contest comes to us from Basel in May.

On Wednesday 5 March, Swiss broadcaster SRG SRR announced that Zoë Më, based in bi-lingual Fribourg, will represent her country on home soil at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

For the Basel-born singer, this is going to mark the beginning of an extraordinary journey:

"Representing Switzerland at the ESC while we are hosting the contest is a huge honour and a surreal experience. I’m from Basel, and my grandparents live here. This is a full-circle moment, just like something out of a fairytale.”

At 1.80 metres tall, Zoë Më describes herself as a "little fairy" with a deep connection to two cultures.

She sings in both German and French, blending poetic pop with 'chanson'. Born in Basel, she lived in Germany before moving with her family to Fribourg in 2009. She began writing her own songs at the age of 10, and her love for the French language soon began to shape her musicality; which she nurtured through school, friendships, and personal passion.

Her ability to bridge cultures through music has earned her widespread recognition. In 2024, she was awarded 'SRF 3 Best Talent' and 'RTS Artiste Radar'. Her bilingual EP Dorienne Gris led to performances at prestigious festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and Luzern Live.

Zoë Më's song for Basel 2025 will be released on Monday 10 March on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.
