Armenia has found its entry to the 69th Eurovision Song Contest via national final 'Depi Evratesil'. PARG will sing 'SURVIVOR' at Basel 2025.

After a run of internal selections, Armenian broadcaster AMPTV returned to a national final format for the first time in 5 years to find the country's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.

On Sunday 16 February, after serving as Armenia's Eurovision pre-selection in 2017, 2018 and 2020, Depi Evratesil was back! Coming to us from the Karen Demirchyan Sports & Concert Complex in Yerevan, we watched as 12 entries compete to become Armenia's song for Basel.

Voting on the night was done via two juries (one national and one international) and a public vote.

In the end, it was Armenia's televote winner that scored victory - the song SURVIVOR will represent Armenia at Basel 2025, performed by PARG.

SURVIVOR won with a score of 214 points. In second place was AY PAPAREY BYE (performed by Simon) on 197 points and in third position was DaQueenation (by Athena Manoukian) on 192 points.

PARG

PARG (Pargev Vardanian) is an Armenian indie-folk, r&b, pop and rock artist, known for blending traditional Armenian elements with modern soundscapes. PARG’s music is deeply rooted in Armenian culture, yet forward-thinking and innovative, positioning him as a trailblazer in modern Armenian pop music.

In 2021 he released his debut single, Ginin u Grely , introducing audiences to his distinctive sound. His most recent single, Araj , was nominated for Best Music Video at the Armenian Music Video Awards.

Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest

Armenia has an impressive record of producing Top 10 finishes since (and including) their debut participation in 2006.

Sirusho (2008) and Aram MP3 (2014) have delivered their nation’s best placements, finishing 4th, but it’s Rosa Linn (2022) who is responsible for Armenia’s biggest hit song.

Her entry Snap went viral on TikTok shortly after the Contest in Turin, leading to critical acclaim and topping charts all over the world. It became the second Eurovision entry (after Duncan Laurence’s Arcade ) to reach a billion streams on Spotify, and was the fastest to do so.

Though Armenia has yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest, they have won and hosted Junior Eurovision twice thanks to Vladimir Arzumanyan (2010) and Maléna (2021).
