The 24 artists of Germany's Chefsache ESC 2025

Chefsache ESC 2025 - Wer Singt Für Deutschland? ('Chefsache ESC 2025 - Who Will Sing For Germany?) is the brand-new national final to select Germany's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

Taking place across 4 nights of primetime TV throughout February and March, Chefsache ESC 2025 will see 24 acts compete for that ticket that will take them over the border to Basel in May. And on Tuesday 4 February, German broadcaster NDR/ARD revealed just who is in contention for that honour of representing Germany in Switzerland.

The 24 acts were selected out of an impressive 3,281 applications by Chefsache ESC chief (and former Eurovision participant for Germany!) Stefan Raab and his team.

12 artists will compete in each of the two heats (happening on Friday 14 February and Saturday 15 February) in the hopes of progressing to a semi-final which will be broadcast on Saturday 22 February. All three of those shows will air on RTL, with the Chefsache 2025 jury - which is Stefan Raab, Yvonne Catterfeld and Elton, as well as a rotating panel of guest judges - selecting what they believe to be the best options for Germany's Eurovision chances.

Then, in the live Chefsache 2025 final on ARD on 1 March, the viewers watching at home will be choosing the winning act to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel on 17 May. The final will be broadcast on Das Erste, ARD Mediathek, eurovision.de and ONE. All 4 shows will be presented by a beloved figure in the Eurovision fan community, Barbara Schöneberger.
