The first wave of ticket sales for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel got off to a flying start on Wednesday 29 January. Tickets for the Live Shows sold out within 7 minutes, while tickets for the Preview Shows sold out within 20 minutes.
The first wave of sales went smoothly, and the high demand shows the enormous enthusiasm for the world's favourite music event. A total of 42,645 tickets were sold.
Fans who have registered but were unable to get a ticket in the first wave should not give up hope, as there will be more ticket sales in the coming months. So the opportunity to be there in person at the Basel 2025 remains. The exact dates of these waves will be announced in good time, so as to give as many fans as possible the chance to purchase successfully.
Furthermore, ticket sales for Arena Plus , the large public viewing event at the St. Jakob-Park stadium in Basel, will start Thursday 30 January 2025, at 10:00 CET.
There, around 36,000 fans will have the opportunity to watch the Grand Final on large screens on Saturday 17 May, with an extraordinary pre-show featuring Anna Rossinelli, DJ Antoine and Baby Lasagna, all within an exciting, party-ready atmosphere. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
Reto Peritz and Moritz Stadler, Co-Executive Producers of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, are thrilled with the success of the first wave of ticket sales:
"We were overwhelmed by the huge demand and the smooth technical process of the booking. Many thanks to our partner TicketCorner for their excellent cooperation. It is moving to see how much the Eurovision Song Contest inspires people in our country and all over the world. We can feel how people are looking forward to this year's event in Basel – and it shows how the ESC builds bridges between cultures and connects hearts."
