You can now listen to the 10 songs in the running to represent Iceland at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest.
We're now less than one month away before Iceland kicks off its pre-selection for Basel 2025.
Söngvakeppnin is returning once again as the Nordic nation's Eurovision national final. And as in previous years, it's going to be a three-week search for Iceland's next Eurovision entry.
We've got two semi-finals to look forward to on Saturday 8 February and 15 February, before the final draws everything to its exciting conclusion one week later on Saturday 22 February.
10 songs are going to be taking part in Söngvakeppnin 2025 .
5 will participate in each semi-final, with 3 songs progressing from both, to give Icelandic TV viewers a 6-song final to vote on.
The Icelandic public vote will account for 50% of the final score, with the other 50% coming from an international jury. In a change from recent years, the 'duel superfinal' element of the competition has been removed. Instead, the sought-after victory will go to the highest scoring song after the public vote and jury vote have been combined.
On Friday 17 January, broadcaster RÚV aired a preview show announcing the 10 songs that will be competing in Söngvakeppnin . And you can now peruse the list for yourself below!
The 10 songs have also been released - you can listen to them on RÚV's Söngvakeppnin website , or by clicking on the song titles we've listed.
Most of the songs have been released in both Icelandic and English, which means that the artist has chosen to perform the song in Icelandic at the semi-final and in English at the final (if their song should qualify). If the song is only listed in Icelandic, that means it will be performed in Icelandic all throughout Söngvakeppnin, and also at the Eurovision Song Contest, should it win Söngvakeppnin.

The winner of Söngvakeppnin 2024 was the song Scared Of Heights , performed by Hera Björk.
Hera's subsequent journey to Malmö was her second time representing Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest, after she brought Je Ne Sais Quoi to the Contest in 2010.
