For the first time since its Turin turn in 2022, Montenegro will be taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest, for its 69th edition in May 2025.
And as well as making its much-anticipated return to the Contest, Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG is also using the occasion to launch a brand-new initiative to represent and promote Montenegrin musicians and their work. This has resulted in the inception of Montenegro's national final, Montesong .
For the inaugural edition of Montesong, RTCG has partnered with the Association of Performing Artists of Montenegro, to help bring this vision to life. And we're getting very close to the event itself!
Montesong 2024 will happen on Wednesday 27 November, to coincide with the anniversary of Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG). The event will take place at the Voco Hall in Podgorica, starting at 20:00 CET.
The competition will be broadcast live on RTCG’s main channel, including its satellite service for audiences outside Montenegro, and on the Montesong YouTube channel . The winner will be chosen by a 50/50 combination of public and jury votes.
Ahead of the big event, we can already listen to the 16 songs that will be taking part.
On Sunday 10 November, RTCG released all of the participating entries on the Montesong YouTube channel.
One of these will be Montenegro's next entry to the Eurovision Song Contest:

Since its first participation in 2007, Montenegro has qualified to the Grand Final twice, with its highest placing being 13th in 2015, courtesy of the song Adio , performed by Knez.
