All you need to know ahead of Denmark choosing for Vienna

HOW TO WATCH: Melodi Grand Prix 2026 starts at 20:00 CET on Saturday 14 February. You'll be able to stream it at Danish broadcaster DR's online player.

A sold-out Arena Nord in Frederikshavn will play host to the annual Danish song competition in 2026. Here, eight artists will perform in the hope of being awarded the Melodi Grand Prix trophy and the opportunity to represent their country at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in May.

The songs are already out and you can listen to them all via the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.

Here are the eight entries in the order that they'll be performed on Saturday night:

Sander Sanchez - Two Spirits

Late Runner - Can U Feel It?

Søren Torpegaard Lund - Før Vi Går Hjem

Sissal - Infinity

Emil Otto - Copenhagen Noir

Myrkur - Touch My Love and Die

Lasse Skriver - Roaring Heart

Ericka Jane - Death of Me

Your hosts for the evening will be Sara Bro, who is presenting the contest for the third time, along with Alex Høgh Andersen on his first year of MGP hosting duties.

Once all eight songs have been performed, voting will open - split between a public vote and a jury vote, with each contributing 50% of the scores.

After voting has closed, a Top 3 will be announced that will then form a 'Superfinal'. The public and the jury will once again vote for the song they want to represent Denmark at Vienna 2026.

The winner of Melodi Grand Prix 2025 was Sissal, whom the eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted has returned for Melodi Grand Prix 2026!

At the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Sissal took Denmark to the Grand Final for the first time since 2019, after an electrifying performance of Hallucination had televoters place her in the Top 10 of the Second Semi-Final.
