Mother Nature has won Luxembourg Song Contest 2026
Call her Mother (Nature).
Eva Marija has won the third edition of Luxembourg Song Contest and her song Mother Nature will represent Luxembourg at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in May.
Eva earned her victory from a field of eight entries in contention for that ticket to Vienna.
Voting on the night came from both an eight-member panel of international expert jurors and a public televote. The first round of voting commenced after all eight songs had been performed and resulted in a top three: Mother Nature by Eva Marija, Sweet Tooth by Steve Castile, and Bad Decisions (Hush Hush) by Irem.

For those three songs, voting opened a second time. Mother Nature triumphed with a total of 222 points; a huge margin over the 136 scored by the song in second place, Sweet Tooth.
Eva Marija
At the age of three, Eva Marija fell in love with the violin after watching Alexander Rybak’s Eurovision Song Contest winning Fairytale. She pursued a multi-disciplinary path at the Luxembourg Conservatory, studying violin, singing, piano and bass guitar across genres from jazz and classical to pop/rock.
Born and raised in Luxembourg to Slovenian parents, she remains connected to both cultures. Performing since the age of 14, Eva is currently studying songwriting in London.
Eva met her team at the Rocklab Camp: the Swedish singer-songwriter Maria Broberg (aka Maria Mathea) and two Danes – songwriter Julie Aagaard and producer Thomas Stengaard.

“There was a really special energy and flow within our group. We based the song on the feeling of childhood, when you’d be playing carefree within parks and forests," recalls Eva.
"Mother Nature uses nature as a symbol of hope, freedom and a sense of being grounded. It beckons you to reconnect with your inner child and let go of your fears.”
At the very end of the session, Eva improvised a violin solo – and it remained in the final version!
Luxembourg Song Contest winners at Eurovision
Both winners of Luxembourg Song Contest to date have seen to it that the Grand Duchy has subsequently made an appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final.
Laura Thorn scored victory in Luxembourg in 2025 and headed to Basel with La Poupée Monte Le Son, while TALI performed Fighter at Malmö 2024 after winning the inaugural edition of Luxembourg Song Contest earlier that year.
The two songs have racked up over 20 million views across uploads to the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel alone.

Luxembourg's participation with Fighter at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest was its first since Milstreet 1993, making a welcome return after a 31-year absence from the Contest.
